Our Story
Our foundation was laid in 2025, in the heart of struggle and perseverance, driven by a shared experience as victims of circumstances. We realized we had the power to change the story not just for ourselves but for the generations to come. We now stand as champions for education and climate action; we harness the power of education and collective action to ignite ourselves, our community, and the world at large. Raising Steps Uganda is our testament to what happens when people unite with purpose. Our mission is to uplift learners through education and ignite solutions, proving that even in diversity there is power to change.
We became architects of change knowing that through education and environmental stewardship we could build a brighter future for all learners. Raising Steps Uganda was founded with a simple but yet powerful vision: to create a world where every learner is given a chance to be empowered, dignified, and have dreams for the future. We started as a community-based initiative in Uganda’s illiterate sector when our founders witnessed and experienced the same challenges in their communities and the world at large.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower students and communities by providing access to education, scholastic materials, mentorship, and life skills, while promoting mental health awareness, gender equality, and career guidance. At the same time, we commit to advancing climate action and sustainability through environmental education, conservation, and community-driven initiatives that build resilience and secure a prosperous future.

To create a society where every child and youth has access to quality education, empowerment opportunities, and life skills, while communities embrace sustainability and climate resilience. We envision a future of equity, innovation, and prosperity where no student is left behind, the girl child is empowered, and development is achieved in harmony with the environment.
